Externships

Externships offer an opportunity for law students to augment classroom study with real-world work experience while also receiving academic credit. All work is performed under the direct supervision of an attorney. We work closely with each student and their respective law school to fulfill the requirements of their program.

Summer Clerkships

GLELC created the Michigan Environmental Justice (MEJ) Law Summer Clerkship program to embody our commitment to training the next generation of environmental justice lawyers. Students gain practical legal experience through our program while sharpening their theoretical understanding of the relationship between social change, organizing, and lawyering.

Fellowship Host

The Center has hosted several recent law school graduates through the Equal Justice Works “Design Your Own Fellowship” program. We welcome inquiries from third-year law students interested in being hosted at the Center through EJW or a similar program.
